“Our Constant, Reliable Financial Anchor”

Finding someone who genuinely understands the financial intricacies of running an artist cooperative gallery is rare, but we found exactly that. For years, Anne and her staff have seamlessly managed our books, payroll, sales tax filings, and member dues, providing peace of mind through ups and downs. Anne also provides us with crucial strategic support: from building us a custom cash flow forecasting tool to helping with our annual budget. Even through internal leadership changes, she has been our constant, reliable financial anchor. We couldn't manage without her!

– Ellen Chuse, Gallery Member and Leadership Committee Member of 440 Gallery, client since 2017

I can honestly say I wouldn't know where Arts Gowanus would be without Anne Percoco! When I stepped into my role as ED, knowing the financial operations were fully handled by someone who understands an arts nonprofit was a huge relief for me, and Anne's knowledge and organized approach to bookkeeping is a huge asset. As Arts Gowanus continues to grow it is a huge relief to know that our bookkeeping is off my plate. The best part about working with Anne is the peace of mind I get from having her on top of the financial comings and goings.

– Johnny Thornton, Executive Director of Arts Gowanus, client since 2018
“Anne transformed the way we manage our finances as self-employed creatives.”

As working visual artists, my husband and I were juggling multiple inconsistent self-employment income streams, including art sales, construction work, Airbnb rental income, and arts administration work with no real bookkeeping system in place. Like many creatives, we pushed bookkeeping aside until tax season, which eventually caught up with us after an IRS audit made it clear we needed professional support. Anne completely transformed the way we manage our finances. She helped us build a clear system for tracking income and expenses across our many revenue streams, giving us the ability to quickly understand where we stand financially at any point in the year. The peace of mind this provides is invaluable. We've worked with Anne for nearly 15 years, and I can't imagine navigating self-employment without her. She has always adapted her services to fit our changing needs and budget, and it's clear that she genuinely cares about helping creative, self-employed clients succeed.
